Settings

Item settings enable you to set properties for each menu item. Just select the item that you want to edit in the Menu Tree and choose the following properties.

Text

Enter text you wish to appear on the menu item.

Title

Enter tip content you wish to display when the mouse pointer hovers over this item.

Link

Use the Link Browse button, or enter the target page link (URL). You can use:

1. Absolute web links such as
http://www.cssmenutools.com/directoryname/linkpage.htm
2. Site root-relative links such as
/directoryname/linkpage.htm
3. Document-relative links
If a target page is located in the same folder as the currently opened page, then a link will be such as
linkpage.htm
If a target page is located in a sub- folder (relatively to the currently opened page) then a link will be such as
sub-directoryname/linkpage.htm
If a target page is located in a up-level folder then a link will be such as
../linkpage.htm

Target

Optional parameter specifying a frame or browser window where the URL will be opened. You can select one of the predefined options, or enter in your own.

_self

Load the linked page into the same frame or window as the link. This target is the default, so usually you don’t need to specify it.

_parent

Load the linked page into the parent frameset or window of the frame that contains the link. If the frame containing the link is not nested, the linked file is loaded into the full browser window.

_top

Load the linked page into the full browser window, thereby removing all frames.

_blank

Load the linked page into a new, unnamed browser window.

User defined

If you want to open the linked page in a specified frame, please input the frame's name into the Target box.

Note:

1. If the name that you have input is not corresponding to an existing frame, the linked page will be opened in a new browser window.
2. In some systems, the target name is case sensitive. E.g. if the target frame's name is "MainFrame", do not input as "mainframe".

Style

Choose a style to apply to current menu item.

To add new style or to edit existing styles switch to Style Editor tab.
