Color drop-down window

Click the color button and select a color from the drop-down window as follow:

You can select color from forty colors of the standard color palette.

You can select More Colors... area to open Color Picker dialog and get more colors.

You can select color from thirty two colors of the custom color palette.

You can select Transparent area to set transparent color.

After select and click "More colors..." Color Picker Dialog will appear.

You can select a color in the Color Picker either by choosing from a color spectrum or by choosing with Eyedropper tool from screen or by defining the color numerically.

When you select a color in the Color Picker, it simultaneously displays the numeric values for HSL, RGB, and hexadecimal numbers. This is useful for viewing how the different color modes describe a color.

In the Color Picker, you can select colors based on the HSL (hue, saturation, luminosity) or RGB (red, green, blue) color models, or specify a color based on its hexadecimal values.

Specifying a color using the color field and color slider

With the HSL, RGB you can use the color field and the color slider in the Color Picker dialog box to select a color.

Select a color by one of the following ways:

1. Drag the black triangle along the slider.
2. Click in the color slider.
3. Click in the color field.

When you select a color, a marker indicates the color position in the color field. When you adjust the color using the color field and color slider, the numerical values are adjusted accordingly. The color rectangle with New label under of the color field displays the new color. The rectangle with Current label displays the original color .

To specify a color using the Eyedropper tool

You can select a color outside the Color Picker. Press Eyedropper button and move a pointer. Now you can pick a color by clicking at any point on the screen. The selected color will be displayed as New in the Color Picker.

To refuse the Eyedropper tool click the Eyedropper button again.

To specify a color using numeric values

In the Color Picker, you can select a color in any of two color models by specifying numeric values for each color component.

Use one of the following ways:

1. RGB color mode (the mode your monitor uses). Specify component values from 0 to 255 (0 is black, and 255 is the pure color).
2. HSL color mode. Specify component values from 0 to 240 that correspond to a location on the color field and on the color slider.
3. Enter a hexadecimal value in the RGB # text box. For example, 000000 is black, FFFFFF is white, and FF0000 is red.

Working with custom palettes

You can create several custom color palettes. For example, if you work in several projects. Create the necessary palette and save it in a file with .mtcp extension by press Save Palette button. You can load the saved palette for operation at any moment by press Load Palette button. After the palette is loaded all CSSMenuTools products start to work with this custom palette.

To add color to the custom palette specify color by one of the ways described above, select a cell in the My Palette area and press Add Color button. Or you can simply drag&drop any specified color from New rectangle into any cell in the My Palette area.

To remove the color from the custom palette select needed cell in My Palette area and press Remove Color button.
