Top Level Settings

Top Level Settings

Menu Top Level settings group enables you to set the top level menu parameters.

Size & Layout group

Width

Choose a way to assign the width of the menu:

Auto
the menu width will be based on the width of the menu content
Fixed
set a fixed width in px
100%
the menu width is determined from a width of the parent object

Note: the 2nd horizontal level width (if it is assigned) depends on the top level menu width

Height

Auto
the top level menu height is determined by its content
Fixed
set a fixed height of the top level in px

Menu Align

Set the menu alignment way inside the parent object. Possible values: Left, Right, Center.

Note: if the menu width assigned as "Auto" possible right and left alignment only to save the menu compatibility with IE6-7

Items Align

Set the items alignment inside the menu. Possible values: Left, Right, Center.

Top Padding

Enables to set the top padding in pixels for the Top level.

H Interval

Enables to set the horizontal interval (pix) between the items within the Top level. This option value(if positive) also defines the very left and right padding on the level. You can use the negative values for this option in some special cases, e.g. to get the items overlapped (each next over previous one).

Horizontal interval is -1 and items with green border.

Level Border group

Width

Enables to set the Border Width for Top level. Zero value means no border.

Color

Enables to set the Border Color for Top level

Background group

Turn Images check box on if you want to use background images. Top Level background can be composed using up to three images: left and right edges (if design requires) and middle image (repeating horizontally). The items (buttons) will appear within the middle part only so the edges can be used as additional margins.

Select the image box you wish to edit and type the image path in the edit box or browse image file by Browse button or by double-clicking on image box. Selected image field can be cleared using Delete button.

 

In this example are used the following images

Left edge for the Top level.

The Top level background image will repeat to fill all the menu width.

Right edge for the Top level.

Color

Enables to set the Background Color for Top level.
